Do you love being around children? Thinking about a career in Child Care?
Maxima, in conjunction with the Port Augusta City Council, are seeking a nurturing and committed individual to undertake a traineeship within a childcare setting.
This is a part-time opportunity to provide quality care, education, and support to children, as well as studying towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Duties Include:
- Assist to prepare and implement programs for children in accordance to curriculum and developmental abilities
- Complete observation and progress records and documentation
- Provide nurturing and consistent care and supervision to children
- Assist team to create a stimulating and encouraging environment
- Liaise with families on a day-to-day basis
- Promote the rights of children at all times
- Shadow experienced staff in providing individualised support to children
About You:
- Passion for children
- Want a make a difference and support children’s lives
- Ability to build rapport with a variety of groups including children, families etc.
- Thrive working under pressure
- Strong ability to multi-task and think on your feet
- Adaptable to changing environment
- Great organisational skills
Role Requirements:
- Must be available to work 3 days across 7:30am-5:45pm
