Banking Traineeship – School-Based | Aboriginal Identified

A School-Based Traineeship is a paid opportunity allowing students to gain firsthand industry experience while working towards a qualification that contributes to their High School Certificate. Students still attend school while working part time to complete their Traineeship.

  • Complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Financial Services or Certificate III in Business
  • Earn while you learn with no study debt
  • Receive your High School Certificate and a nationally recognised qualification
  • Specialised Consultant in supporting and mentoring First Nations People

The Role: 

Provide exceptional service to customers by working in the branch one day a week and attending school for the others. 

Work within a supportive team and alongside experienced supervisors to gain industry experience, as well as receive allocated study time to achieve a nationally recognised Certificate III in Financial Services or Certificate III in Business.

There are multiple positions available. Possible locations include Modbury, Noarlunga and Salisbury.

Duties Include:

  • Welcome customers and offer exceptional service 
  • Assist with bank transactions, cash handling and savings needs
  • Educate customers on digital banking services
  • Provide relevant advice to customers 
  • Follow-up customer enquiries, delegating where required

About You: 

  • Positive and proactive attitude 
  • Willingness to learn 
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal 
  • Strong work ethic; punctual and reliable 
  • Hands-on experience with technology, including Microsoft Office 

Role Requirements:

  • Commencing Year 11 in 2025
  • Identify as First Nations Australian
