We currently have an employer who is looking for the following:

Boilermaker/Welder

To weld transformer tanks and associated parts to engineering drawings/work instructions/specification.
To comply with relevant Work Instructions, Weld Procedure Specifications, Health, Safety and Environment Procedures and Policies. To assist with any change initiatives that will increase safety or improve productivity.

Essential:

  • Hands on experience with MIG Welding 
  • Experience with oxy cutting.
  • Some knowhow reading engineering drawings.
  • Ability to follow Weld Maps.
  • Working within safety standards and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to quality and detail.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work without supervision.
  • A positive attitude and team player.

 

Preferred

  • Dogman Ticket (we can help you get this ticket).
  • Experience in heavy plate welding.
  • Sub Arc welding experience (we can train you).
  • Knowledge of AS1554 welding standards.
  • Physical fitness, ability to kneel for extended periods.
  • Conversational English, both written and verbal.
