The Role:

Maxima, and our Host Employer, are looking for eager individuals to undertake a fulltime Bricklaying Apprenticeship. There are multiple opportunities available located within the Adelaide Metro and Adelaide Hills regions and will require travel between sites.  

Across 4-years have all training and study paid for, get hands-on industry experience, and continuous mentoring, whilst gaining a nationally recognised Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying

Bricklaying is one of the most vital and in demand trades within the construction industry. Upon completion you will be a highly skilled and valued team member with endless opportunities, anything from a builder, supervisor, or estimator.

Duties Include:

  • Lay, move, and stack bricks/blocks
  • Mix mortar 
  • Site preparation
  • Level and finish concrete
  • Undertake measurements and calculations
  • Other labouring duties as required

About You:

  • Have a genuine interest in a bricklaying career 
  • Basic understanding of the trade
  • Able to operate power tools and equipment
  • Ability to follow directions and work under limited supervision
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Can do attitude and willingness to learn

Role Requirements: 

  • Previous on-site labouring experience (desirable)
  • Current provisional or full driver’s licence with own vehicle
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including drug and alcohol test
  • Possess good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
  • Completed a Certificate II in Doorways to Construction or similar (desirable)
