As the Queensland Government’s builder, QBuild plays an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations as well as correctional and health facilities.
With over 1,600 staff and a network that includes 20 offices and 35 depots, QBuild is well positioned to support the sector to deliver construction and maintenance services to communities including those in regional and remote areas.
The Role:
Location: Cannon Hill QLD
Duration: 12-month Full Time Traineeship
Monday to Friday – 36.25 hours per week
As a Business Trainee, you will provide high level administrative support to QBuild.
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide efficient and high standards of customer service to QBuild customers
- Monitor and manage internal and external correspondence and incoming and outgoing telephone calls
- Demonstrate professionalism and be a positive contributor to a great team and culture while being prepared to perform recurring work
- Be dedicated to customer satisfaction, and within boundaries, develop an outcome which achieves both customer and business objectives
- Ensure high standards and accuracy when compiling documents and reports or updating records and information systems
Required Skills:
To be successful in this traineeship, you will need:
- Strong work ethic; punctual and reliable
- Willing to work within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build rapport with a variety of people
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Positive and proactive approach
- Strong attention to detail and organisational and skills
- Ability to multitask to meet deadlines
Eligibility Criteria:
- Driver’s licence
- National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Suite, Outlook (or similar)
- Previous customer service experience (advantageous)
