The Role:
Maxima, and our Host Employer are seeking an eager individual to undertake a Carpentry Apprenticeship.
These positions within private industry will see you working across residential sites throughout the metropolitan suburbs of Adelaide. Anything from home renovations, to building new homes, you will gain the skills and knowledge of a well-rounded carpenter to kickstart your trades future.
Across 4-years work fulltime and receive paid study towards achieving a nationally recognised Certificate III in Carpentry. This role will require you to travel between work sites.
Duties Include:
- Build floors, wall framework and roofs
- Cut, shape and fit timber materials
- Read and interpret plans
- Manual labouring of timber
- Perform basic calculations based on measurements
- Handle a variety of hand and power tools
About You:
- Genuine interest in carpentry
- Loves being hands-on and working outdoors
- Able to follow directions and work under limited supervision
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Possess good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
- Strong track record of being punctual, reliable, and hardworking
Role Requirements:
- Must hold a current provisional or c-class licence with reliable vehicle
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous on-site carpentry or labouring experience (desirable)
- Completed a Certificate II in Doorways to Construction or similar (desirable)
