Concreter Traineeship

The Role:

Maxima, and our Host Employer, are looking for a dedicated individual to undertake a Concreting Traineeship. 

This 2-year traineeship will see you getting paid to study and work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Concreting, while receiving continuous mentoring, and all relevant tickets/licences to ensure you are setup upon completion. 

Travel will be required between clients on a regular basis.

Duties Include:

  • Site preparation including digging and levelling
  • Apply and pour concrete
  • Concrete repairs
  • Form work
  • Concrete cutting, finishing and polishing
  • Place and fix reinforcement materials
  • Read and interpret site plans 
  • Concrete retaining walls, driveways, footpaths and kerbing

About You: 

  • Love working hands-on and outdoors
  • A strong work ethic; punctual and reliable 
  • Great communication skills
  • Thrive working in team environments
  • A go-getter who takes initiative and problem-solves

Role Requirements:

  • Must hold a provisional or full driver’s licence and own vehicle
  • Hold a White Card (or willing to obtain)
  • Physically fit and healthy due to undertaking manual labour work
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
  • Previous experience or qualification in construction, landscaping or similar trade (desirable)
