The Role:
This 48-month full-time position, located within Metro Adelaide, will enable you to develop relevant skills and knowledge within the industry through working hands-on, and support this with study on-the-job towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication.
Duties Include:
- Examine drawings to calculate material requirements
- Fix and assemble metal fixtures
- Cut, roll, shape and bend materials
- Heat and treat metal materials
- Finish products through cleaning, polishing or filing methods
- Use specialised equipment and tools
- General warehouse and labouring duties
About You:
- Passionate about the engineering industry
- Love working hands-on
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
- Eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Thrives working in team environments
- Love learning new systems and procedures
Role Requirements:
- Drivers’ licence with own vehicle
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
- Possess good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
- Previous experience or pre-vocational certificate (desirable)
