Our Host Employer is Adelaide’s number one polished-concrete company. Specialising in polished concrete floors with the expertise and experience to undertake any scale of project, from large industrial areas to commercial showrooms and residential projects they use the latest equipment and technology to ensure projects are finished to the highest specifications.

The Role:

Location: Hindmarsh SA
Duration: 48-month Apprenticeship

As a Floor Installer Apprentice, you will specialise in epoxy flooring and polished concrete for commercial and industrial environments.

Polished concrete is a highly durable, stylish, versatile floor finish that offers a variety of styles, effects and colours and can be polished for varying degrees of shine. It’s economical, hygienic and low maintenance and can be applied indoors and outdoors to satisfy every possible hard surface application in the building and interior design industries.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare floor surfaces for installation 
  • Install various floor surfaces including carpet, timber and vinyl 
  • Remove existing flooring
  • Perform basic calculations based on measurements
  • Maintain clean and safe environment
  • This role will require travel between work sites across Metropolitan Adelaide

  • Hardworking and committed to work and learn

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Provisional or full driver’s licence and own vehicle
  • Physically fit and healthy due to undertaking manual labour work
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including drug and alcohol test
  • Previous construction experience or pre-vocational certificate (desirable)
