Garden Labourer
Location: Golden Grove, SA
Hours: Monday to Friday, Casual Full-Time Hours
Contract Duration: Up to 6 months approx.
Pay Rate: $31.19ph + super
About the Role
The Garden Labourer role plays an important role in supporting the local council and community by maintaining the verge—the area of land between the road and property line, typically consisting of grass or garden beds.
This role involves tasks such as whipper snipping, edging, mowing, and general weed control to ensure these spaces are kept tidy, safe, and visually appealing.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating commercial gardening equipment (Whipper Snippers, leaf blowers and mowers)
- Meeting contract deadlines
- Other general gardening duties as required
- Reporting any hazards or maintenance issues
- Working safely and efficiently in public areas
What You’ll Need
- Current Driver’s License and transport
- previous experience in gardening or horticulture or willingness to learn
- ability to operate whipper snipper and blower
