Horticulture Labourer – Parks and Gardens
Location: Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide, SA
Position Type: Casual positions through Maxima Labour Hire. Full-time hours available, Monday to Friday.
Contract Duration: 3 months approx.
Hourly Rate: $44.55ph + Super
Role Overview
Perform a variety of tasks related to open space development, including landscaping, irrigation installation or repair, planting trees and vegetation, installing park furniture, and handling other duties that enhance the amenity of the open space. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience working within Local Government.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mowing, pruning, mulching, planting, watering
- Installing and repairing irrigation systems
- Collecting litter and dead animals
- Applying herbicide and pesticide
- Maintaining Park furniture and BBQ’s, painting, inspecting and maintaining playground equipment
- Tree pruning or removal.
Requirements:
- National Criminal Record (essential)
- Working With Children Clearance (essential)
- Car License & MR truck license (essential)
- Trade certificate in a field relevant to the position (desirable)
- Chainsaw ticket and elevated work platform ticket.
- Work Zone Traffic Management Certificate.
- Proven experience in horticultural practice, involving or relating to the maintenance of open space.
