Irrigation Technician Traineeship

The Role:

Maxima, and the City of West Torrens, are seeking a driven individual to undertake an entry-level Irrigation Traineeship.

This 3-year traineeship will see you getting paid to study, receive continuous mentoring and work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Irrigation Technology.

Duties Include:

  • Install and maintain pressurised irrigation systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system faults
  • Read and interpret irrigation plans
  • Implement efficient irrigation schedules 
  • Setup traffic management systems 
  • Install and terminate low voltage wiring systems

About You: 

  • Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools
  • Be committed, reliable and hardworking
  • Manage and prioritise time when working under pressure
  • Work effectively in a team and unsupervised
  • Good communication skills
  • Have a can-do attitude, displaying initiative on the job

Role Requirements:

  • Hold a provisional or full driver’s licence and own vehicle
  • Physically fit and healthy due to undertake manual labour work
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
  • Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar (advantageous)
