Irrigation Technician Traineeship

Their expertise spans impressive landscape designs, irrigation solutions, and small-scale garden construction. With growing demand, they’re looking to welcome a new team member to support their construction and maintenance operations.

The Role:

Location: Largs North SA
Duration: 36-month Traineeship

As an Irrigation Technician Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience installing, servicing and maintaining irrigation systems across a variety of projects.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:

  • Install and maintain pressurised irrigation systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system faults
  • Read and interpret irrigation plans
  • Implement efficient irrigation schedules
  • Setup traffic management systems
  • Install and terminate low voltage wiring systems
  • Travel between worksites (daily travel allowance may be claimable, conditions apply)

About You:

To be successful in this Traineeship, you’ll need to:

  • Enjoy working outdoors and using garden tools
  • Be committed, reliable and hardworking
  • Prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
  • Work well both independently and in a team
  • Have great communication skills
  • Have a can-do attitude and be willing to learn

Role Requirements:

  • Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • Good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
  • Be willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen
  • Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar (advantageous)
