Your Host Employer:

Located in Sturt, our Host Employer provides landscape design and construction services. They design, plan, construct and maintain garden projects, making them the go to for all your garden needs. They are currently looking to grow their team as they grow their business.

The Role:

Maxima, and our Host Employer, are seeking a motivated individual to undertake a Landscape Construction Traineeship.

This 4-year traineeship will see you getting paid to study and work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Landscape Construction, while receiving continuous mentoring, and all relevant tickets/licences to ensure you are setup upon completion.

Travel between customers will be required on a regular basis including servicing regular customers with coastal properties from Ardrossan to Middleton.

Duties Include: 

  • Landscape construction techniques including paving and concreting
  • Brick and block structure construction 
  • Turf and soil management 
  • Garden maintenance
  • Install irrigation and drainage systems
  • Use tools and machinery

About You: 

  • Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools
  • Be committed, reliable and hardworking
  • Manage and prioritise time when working under pressure
  • Work effectively in a team and unsupervised
  • Good communication skills
  • Have a can-do attitude, displaying initiative on the job
  • Physically fit and healthy due to undertaking manual labour work

Role Requirements:

  • Must hold a provisional or full driver’s licence and own vehicle
  • Hold a National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
  • Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar (advantageous)
