Maintenance Officer / Carpenter

Maxima has been engaged to recruit a Maintenance Officer / Carpenter for an ongoing position at private hospital based in the CBD. 

About the role 

Initially a full-time casual position, with working hours of 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday – however the days may be scaled back to 3-4 days per week once the current projects reduce and the role reverts to general maintenance duties.

Duties Include 

  • Basic Repairs to doors & windows – latches, rollers etc
  • Basic repairs to timberwork including fitting doors and fixing / replacing door and window framing, architraves and alike.
  • Cabinetmaking – including fitting cabinetry and basic repairs to cupboards, doors and drawers. 
  • Patching and Painting (plaster / plasterboard)
  • Operation of a range of power had tools and static cutting / Moulding machinery.

About you

You are well presented and have good interpersonal skills and also have the ability to pass a medical and police clearance / NDIS Worker Check.
Ideally you are a qualified carpenter however experienced maintenance officers will be considered – especially those applicants experienced in operating cabinetmaking machinery.
