The Role:

Maxima, and our Host Employer, are seeking a motivated individual to undertake a Mechanical Engineer Apprenticeship.

This position will see you maintaining a diverse range of commercial and industrial metal structures, using a large variety of tools and machines. This is a great chance for a dependable hard worker to build solid experience and skills within the industry to set themselves up for a successful career.

Across 48 months you will work full time, gain paid, practical experience and study a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade. You will also receive continuous mentoring from a dedicated Maxima Consultant. 

Duties Include: 

  • Perform maintenance, service, and repairs
  • Assemble and fit fabricated products
  • Diagnostics of faults and troubleshooting
  • Welding and mechanical tasks
  • Use specialised equipment and tools 
  • General plant duties

  • Love learning new systems and procedures 

Role Requirements: 

  • Current drivers’ licence with own vehicle
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
  • Possess good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
  • Previous experience or pre-vocational certificate (desirable)
