The Role:
Maxima, and Quaker Oats, are seeking a motivated individual to undertake a Mechanical Engineer Apprenticeship.
Located at Welshpool, this role will see you being exposed to a range of machinery and tasks throughout the workshop, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are running efficiently and safely, repairing where required.
Across 4-years you will be working fulltime, receiving paid on-the-job experience, and studying towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
Duties Include:
- Perform maintenance, service and repairs
- Assemble and fit fabricated products
- Diagnostics of faults and troubleshooting
- Welding and mechanical tasks
- Use of specialised equipment and tools
- General warehouse duties
About You:
- Passionate about the engineering industry
- Hands-on learner
- A reliable and punctual work ethic
- Has an eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Thrives working in team environments
- Love learning new systems and procedures
Role Requirements:
- Hold a provisional or c-class licence with reliable vehicle
- Forklift licence (or willing to obtain)
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment
- Previous experience or pre-vocational certificate (desirable)
