The Role:

Maxima, and Quaker Oats, are seeking a motivated individual to undertake a Mechanical Engineer Apprenticeship.

Located at Welshpool, this role will see you being exposed to a range of machinery and tasks throughout the workshop, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are running efficiently and safely, repairing where required.

Across 4-years you will be working fulltime, receiving paid on-the-job experience, and studying towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade

Duties Include:

  • Perform maintenance, service and repairs
  • Assemble and fit fabricated products
  • Diagnostics of faults and troubleshooting
  • Welding and mechanical tasks
  • Use of specialised equipment and tools 
  • General warehouse duties 

About You:

  • Passionate about the engineering industry 
  • Hands-on learner
  • A reliable and punctual work ethic
  • Has an eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills 
  • Thrives working in team environments 
  • Love learning new systems and procedures 

Role Requirements:

  • Hold a provisional or c-class licence with reliable vehicle 
  • Forklift licence (or willing to obtain) 
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment 
  • Previous experience or pre-vocational certificate (desirable)
