The Role:

Maxima, and our Host Employer, are seeking a driven worker to show off their steady hand and attention to detail skills in a Painting Apprenticeship.

This position within private industry will see you working across residential sites throughout the metropolitan suburbs of Adelaide, learning all aspects of Painting and Decorating techniques.

Across 4 years work fulltime and gain industry experience, paid training, and study towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Painting and Decorating

Duties Include:

  • Prepare surfaces (sanding, filing, caulking)
  • Protect surfaces (varnish, stain, wallpaper)
  • Paint a range of surfaces to a high standard 
  • Colour matching
  • Interpret plans
  • Maintain and decorate surfaces 

About You:

  • High attention to detail
  • Have good physical fitness to undertake manual labour
  • Be committed, reliable and hardworking
  • Display initiative, manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively
  • Work effectively as part of a team and follow directions

Role Requirements:

  • Must hold a provisional or full driver’s licence and own vehicle
  • Be physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
  • Completed a Certificate II in Doorways to Construction or similar (desirable)
