Payroll Officer and Accounts

Enjoy working in a supportive environment with your previous skills and experience in payroll and general accounts.  This role will assist with payroll of approximately 250 staff and contribute to the accounting function using Vizypay and MYOB systems.  This could be a great role for a working parent.  This is a part time role, 30 hours per week with flexible working start and finish times. 

Your responsibilities:

  • End to end processing of weekly and fortnightly wages, including Christmas holiday wages and termination payments
  • Provide assistance and back up when required
  • Daily updating of timekeeping system to ensure prompt and accurate payroll processing, including maintenance of timekeeping cards for new and existing employees
  • Process leave request paperwork and maintain employee leave rosters, including distribution to management when required
  • Ensure compliance to their PAYG financial obligations through processing of PAYG payments
  • Ensure banking is completed on a daily basis for all relevant companies, including the possibility of bank deposits in person
  • Manual processing of invoices for further data entry
  • Computer data entry for accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash payments and receipts
  • Timely and accurate processing of all end of month cash payments and cash receipt bank reconciliations
  • Back up for end of month reconciliations for accounts receivable and / or accounts payable
  • Back up for bank statement reconciliations
  • Ensure all account enquiries are attended to efficiently
  • Maintain the archiving and filing of all payroll and account information
  • Assist in the maintenance of existing databases and human resources files.
  • Provide administrative support including minute taking for meetings, updating and creating spreadsheets and word documents as well as other general office duties
  • Other duties as directed by management

Positive attitude and can do is important to be successful in this role.  The team are supportive and want to see success in you.  Hours can be flexible around your commitments.  Ideally, would prefer at least 1-2 years experience in a similar role.  Looking for long term view.
