Maxima are seeking an experienced Place Manager for a 12 month assignment with a large Local Council based in Logan Central.
This role will have you working FT hours, Monday – Friday with a casual hourly pay negotiable, depending on experience, between $61.83 – $65.77 + super.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the scoping, programming and delivery of projects utilising project management and urban design skills
- Actively pursue internal and external funding to deliver high quality design outcomes for the city and the community
- Lead the drafting and delivery of implementation strategies that effectively identify resourcing, project timeframes and consultees under limited direction
- Oversee the coordination, updating and delivery of activity centre implementation plans and actively coordinate council business holistically relating to place making in the designated activity centre
- Lead the development and delivery of high quality urban design and strategic planning advice to enable sound placed based decision making, planning and capital works prioritisation for the activity centre
About You:
- Tertiary design based qualifications in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture or Architecture or similar is required
- Demonstrated high level of discipline knowledge operating as a Place Manager, Urban Designer, Planner or Landscape Architect under limited direction
- A proven track record in leading and delivering place based initiatives including significant capital works or investment attraction projects
- Well-Developed knowledge of urban design and place making and experience in creating partnerships across the community, business and industry sectors and in design management and delivering complex and significant place making capital works projects
