Position: Project Officer

Employment Type: Mon – Fri, 38 hrs a week until June 2025 with possibility of extension
Payrate: $53/hr + super
Maxima is currently seeking various highly motivated individuals as a Project Officer for one of our government clients.
We are seeking an experienced Project Officer to join our client’s team. This position plays a key role in supporting project management activities, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of projects across the organisation.
About the Role:
As a Project Officer, you will provide project administration and coordination support, working closely with project teams to monitor progress, manage documentation, and assist in stakeholder engagement. Your contributions will help improve project outcomes and enhance the services offered by the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide research, administrative support, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
- Support stakeholder engagement through communication, reporting, and documentation.
- Prepare reports, action logs, meeting minutes, and other key project materials.
- Identify risks and contribute to process improvements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in project administration within a moderately complex environment.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks under deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving ability in a technical or specialist setting.
- Credentials or certifications in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PROSCI, ITIL) are highly regarded.

- A current C-class driver’s license.
