Supply Chain Operator Traineeship

The Role:

Maxima, and our Host Employer, are looking for a motivated individual to undertake a Supply Chain Operator Traineeship.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for ensuring all supplies and equipment are efficiently processed and stored.

Across 2-years gain paid, hands-on industry experience and study time to complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations.

Duties Include:

  • Liaise internally with managers and externally with suppliers to place and track orders for a wide variety of materials and transport
  • Mark off received orders and separate required hardware for different jobs/projects and store
  • Receive and reconcile invoices to purchase orders
  • Physically load and unload vehicles and move stock around the warehouse
  • Update inventory systems and keep the stores tidy and organised
  • Manage Quality Assurance documentation

About You: 

  • An understanding of steelwork (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and thrives working under pressure 
  • Great problem-solving skills and completes tasks to a high standard
  • Can manage and prioritise time and tasks efficiently 
  • Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions

Role Requirements: 

  • Current drivers’ licence with own vehicle
  • Current forklift licence (desirable)
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
  • Possess good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
  • Experience in loading/unloading (desirable)
  • Technologically savvy including Microsoft Office suites
