  • Roster reflects Swim School terms, with flexibility. (20 hours a week with opportunity for additional shifts)

Maxima has been engaged to recruit an experienced Swim School Supervisor on a contract seasonal position for the upcoming swim season with our highly regarded client, the City of Burnside.

The Opportunity:
Burnside Swim School provides learn to swim programs for all ages of our community. The Swim School Supervisor plays an important role in the delivery of the service.
Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Administration and Supervision of the Burnside Swim School and other aquatic programs.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service to the community, guided and supported by the Aquatic Programs Officer.
  • Actioning a range of queries using the organisation guidelines

Essential Qualifications:

  • Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate.
  • First Aid/CPR Certificates.
  • DHS Working with Children check.
  • Child Safe Environments training (or with view to obtain)
  • Swim School/Aquatics or relevant recreation administration experience.

Desirable Qualifications and Training

  • Extension Teaching Certificates (Infant/Adult/Access & Inclusion etc.)
  • Experience with Centaman bookings and POS systems
  • Experience in a busy, customer focused environment
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate

About You
You have a passion for water safety, with knowledge and experience in teaching a range of age groups and ability levels. Strong people skills assist you in providing education and support, to the students and teachers within the Swim School community. You enjoy contributing to an energetic and fun working environment.
You have outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure swim school members, patrons and parents are gaining maximum benefit and enjoyment from the services provided.
