NAIDOC In The South
July 2 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
FREE
NAIDOC IN THE South is an opportunity for the community to celebrate NAIDOC Week and the team from Maxima is excited to be there to talk about career opportunities over some craft activities.
NAIDOC Week invites people to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
This year’s NAIDOC theme is The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy and celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the legacy of our ancestors.
The day is presented by Neporendi Aboriginal Forum Inc, in partnership with the City of Onkaparinga, the Southern Elders Group and Neporendi Aboriginal Community Centre with support from Joining Hands and Minds network members. Maxima is proud to be in attendance.
