Maxima, in partnership with the South Australian Skills Commission, is looking for a committed individual to undertake an entry-level Client Services Officer Traineeship.

Throughout this 12-month traineeship, you will receive on-the-job training and support while working alongside experienced professionals and studying towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business.

As a Trainee Client Services Officer with the South Australian Skills Commission, you will support the efficient and timely administration of activities under the South Australian Skills Act 2008.

Working under guidance and supervision, you will assist in providing accurate information and advice to stakeholders regarding Training Contracts and the apprenticeship and traineeship system, while developing valuable administrative and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to stakeholders, building positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Assist with monitoring incoming correspondence, emails and phone enquiries under the guidance of experienced team members
  • Provide information regarding the South Australian Skills Act 2008 and Training Contracts, referring more complex matters to senior staff
  • Support routine application and administrative processes, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Gain experience across apprenticeship and traineeship services, including enrolments, compliance and reporting activities
  • Contribute to team goals and service delivery by supporting efficient work practices
  • Maintain accurate records in databases and assist with managing forms, applications and correspondence
  • Participate in training, mentoring and development opportunities to build knowledge and capability
  • Uphold Customer Service Principles and Service Standards through responsive, knowledgeable, timely and respectful interactions
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining a high level of professionalism

About You:

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a professional environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Punctual, reliable and eager to learn
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to follow procedures, guidelines, regulations and instructions
  • Ability to apply learned administrative skills and exercise sound judgement within established processes
  • Previous administration or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential
