Maxima, in partnership with Campbelltown City Council, is seeking a motivated individual to commence an Arboriculture Traineeship.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work outdoors, learn a specialised trade and gain a nationally recognised qualification while earning a wage from day one.
You’ll enjoy the benefits of working within Local Government, including a 9-day fortnight with a paid RDO every second fortnight, while developing practical skills caring for and maintaining trees throughout the Campbelltown community.

What You’ll Learn
Working alongside experienced arborists, you’ll develop skills in:
- Tree pruning, planting and removal techniques
- Safe operation and maintenance of arboriculture tools and equipment
- Identifying tree species and understanding tree growth
- Assessing tree health, structure and potential risks
- Supporting tree health through mulching, fertilising and pest management
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Working effectively as part of a professional outdoor team
You’ll gain hands-on experience maintaining and enhancing Campbelltown’s urban forest while learning all aspects of modern arboriculture.

Requirements
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
- Ability to pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol screen
- Previous gardening, landscaping or similar trade experience (desirable but not essential)
