The Role:
Location: CBD Adelaide SA
Duration: 18-month full time Traineeship
As an Emergency Department Admin Trainee, you will work in a fast paced environment, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support.
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
- Welcome patients and visitors
- Manage and maintain patient records
- Answer incoming telephone calls on a busy switchboard
- Process patient admissions and discharges
- Complete health fund checks
- Data entry, scanning and filing as required
- Assist patients with directions
About You:
To be successful in this Traineeship, you’ll need:
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport with a variety of individuals
- Showcase initiative and problem-solving skills
- Empathetic and caring nature
- Remain calm when working under pressure
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Role Requirements:
- Ability to work rostered shifts between 6:30am and 9:00pm
- Current COVID-19 vaccinations – minimum two doses (or willing to obtain)
- Current clearances (or willing to obtain)
- Strong computer and typing skills, including Microsoft Office
- Previous administration or customer service experience
