The Role:
  
Location: CBD Adelaide SA
Duration: 18-month full time Traineeship
  
As a Medical Records Officer, you will undertake several activities to ensure that patient records are maintained to a high standard and are delivered promptly to clinical areas to support patient care.
  
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:  

  • Manage and maintain patient records
  • Answer incoming telephone calls
  • Provide customer service to patients and clinics
  • Document processing including data entry, scanning and filing
  • Use online databases and software  

About You:
  
To be successful in this Traineeship, you’ll need:

  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have effective organisational and time management skills
  • Showcase initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Works effectively as part of a team and under limited supervision  

Role Requirements:  

  • Ability to work rostered shifts between 6:00am and 6:00pm – flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekend shifts may be required
  • Immunisation History Statement (willing to provide)
  • National Police and Working with Children Checks (or willing to obtain)
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
