Medical Reception Traineeship

Calvary North Adelaide Hospital offers an extensive range of surgical services; cancer services including Kimberley House Day Chemotherapy Unit; Calvary Babies; and Mary Potter Hospice palliative and end of life care. Their fully refurbished procedure suite and Day of Surgery Unit includes three procedure rooms and seven theatres specialising in general / colorectal surgery, urology and gynaecology in addition to a broad range of surgical procedures.
Maxima, in partnership with Calvary North Adelaide, are looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join their patient services team as a Receptionist Trainee.
This 18-month traineeship will see you becoming an expert in juggling a busy reception desk through practical experience and studying online towards achieving a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business with a Medical Specialisation.
What will you do?
- Meet and greet patients and visitors
- Answer incoming telephone calls and follow-up where required
- Create and maintain patient records
- Process payments and Medicare rebates
- Additional duties as required including tidy waiting room etc.
What do you need?
- A positive and proactive attitude
- Demonstrated high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- COVID-19 Vaccinations (including booster) and up to date with all other required vaccines.
