The Role:
Location: Northwest Adelaide SA
Duration: 48-month Apprenticeship
As a Carpenter Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience across residential projects throughout North and South Adelaide, with the main office based in Welland SA. From home renovations to new builds, you’ll develop a broad range of practical skills and industry knowledge, setting a strong foundation for a successful career in carpentry.
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
- Build floors, wall frames and roofs
- Cut, shape and fit wood and building materials
- Read and interpret plans
- Handle and move timber materials
- Use measurements to make accurate cuts and adjustments
- Handle a variety of hand and power tools
- Travel between worksites (travel allowance may be claimable, conditions apply)
About You:
To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will bring:
- Genuine interest in carpentry
- Love being hands-on and working outdoors
- Able to follow directions and work under limited supervision
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Possess good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
- Strong track record of being punctual, reliable, and hardworking
Role Requirements:
- Driver’s licence with reliable vehicle
- Be willing to complete a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol screen
- Previous on-site carpentry or labouring experience (desirable)
- Completed a Certificate II in Construction Pathways or similar (desirable)
Benefits:
- Complete a free, nationally recognised Certificate III in Carpentry
- Possible eligibility to access the Australian Apprenticeship Support Loan
- Full Time, Monday to Friday with a Rostered Day Off (RDO)
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided
