Civil Construction Apprenticeship

The Role:
Location: McLaren Vale SA
Duration: 36-month Apprenticeship
As a Civil Construction Apprentice, you will assist with the delivery of comprehensive civil projects within the private sector across metro and regional SA.
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
- New builds and/or upgrades of electrical substations
- Operate major plant machinery – excavator, skid steer, and roller
- Operate minor plant equipment – grinders, quick cut saw and vibe plate
- Setup traffic management for construction activities
About You:
To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will:
- Be driven and have a positive attitude
- Enjoy working outdoors in a team-oriented environment
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Be physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual tasks
- Have strong verbal communication skills
- Be willing to learn and take initiative
Role Requirements:
- Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
- Willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen
- Previous labouring or industry experience (desirable)
