The Role:
Maxima, and Town of Gawler Council are looking for a motivated individual to undertake an entry-level Civil Construction Apprenticeship.
This 3-year fulltime position will enable you to develop relevant skills and knowledge within the industry through working hands-on, and support this with study on-the-job towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations.
Duties Include:
- Site preparation and excavation
- Level base and surface materials
- Lay pavers
- Repair and install drainage logistics
- Concrete and bitumen repairs and reinstatements
- Install safety barriers and traffic management
- Operate plant machinery and use power tools
About You:
- Driven with a positive attitude
- Enjoy working in an outdoor environment
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Physically fit and able to move repetitively
- Strong verbal communication skills
Role Requirements:
- Must hold a provisional or full driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to undertaking manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including drug and alcohol test
- Any labouring or industry experience (desirable)
