The Role:
 
Location: Freeling SA
Duration: 36-month Apprenticeship
 
As a Civil Construction Apprentice, you will assist with the implementation and maintenance of infrastructure projects within the local council area.
 
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
 
Duties Include:
 

  • Prepare site and excavate
  • Level base and surface materials
  • Lay pavers
  • Repair and install drainage logistics
  • Concrete and bitumen repairs and reinstatements
  • Install safety barriers and traffic management
  • Operate plant machinery and use power tools

 
About You:
 
To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will need:
 

  • Driven with a positive attitude
  • Enjoy working in an outdoor environment
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Physically fit and able to move repetitively
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Have a can-do attitude and willing to learn

 
Eligibility Criteria:
 

  • Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Physically fit and healthy due to undertaking manual labour work
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
  • Any labouring or industry experience (desirable)
