Civil Project Coordinator

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified candidate for a 3 month duration (working full time hours) in their Mannum office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the Director of Infrastructure to manage the construction and maintenance of their infrastructure assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the construction and maintenance of infrastructure assets such as road construction and maintenance, stormwater management and footpaths.
  • Inspection of transport asset infrastructure/stormwater issues/complaints and liaison with the Director Infrastructure & Field Services to ensure works are undertaken within their budget.
  • Liaising with the Coordinators Construction, Infrastructure and Maintenance and Works Coordinators on works, projects and services to be undertaken.
  • Ensuring asset and infrastructure works are undertaken in a technically sound manner.
  • Ensuring good communication with the Coordinators Construction, Infrastructure and Maintenance and Works Coordinators for works to be undertaken in a competent manner
  • Preparation and/or coordination of funding applications for potential new projects.
  • Preparation, on-site supervision and inspection of contracts for various capital works.
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety, design plans and specifications.
  • Provide reports, as necessary, to the Director Infrastructure & Field Services.
  • Provide input, support and advice for the development of their Asset Management Plan.
  • Audit and review suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance to specification.
  • Carry out contract administration and auditing.
  • Assisting with field verification of asset data and development of Asset Management Plans, if required.

Experience:

  • Relevant 5+ years of engineering and project management experience is desirable.
  • Experience in road construction and maintenance requirements.
  • Experience in contract preparation and administration.
  • Experience in contract management.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering principles, standards and statutory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or acceptable demonstrated equivalent industry experience.
  • Project and contract management qualifications desirable.
  • Current Class C driver’s licence.
  • Construction White Card (desirable).
  • Workzone Traffic Management accreditation (desirable).
