The Role:

Location: Cairns City QLD
Duration: 12-month Traineeship

As a Clinical Assistant Trainee, you’ll gain hands on experience in customer service, administration and clinical support, making a difference in the lives of clients from diverse backgrounds. You’ll work alongside passionate professionals and receive full training and guidance.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:

  • Greet clients and attend to all counter and telephone enquiries
  • Cover reception and undertake general administration duties including booking client appointments, processing claims, data entry and monthly reports
  • Liaise with clients comprising of children and adults, some with complex needs, as well as clients with multicultural & Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds
  • Perform minor hearing aid repairs and troubleshooting
  • Assist Clinicians with the provision of clinical services including identifying client needs, offering professional advice and demonstrating the use of hearing aids
  • This role will require regular travel to remote communities in various locations

Role Requirements:

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • Driver’s licence
  • National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Able to build rapport with a variety of people and groups
  • Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Office
