The Role
TORO Australia and Maxima are seeking a motivated individual to join the team as a Credit Management Trainee. This is an entry-level opportunity where you will gain hands-on experience in credit and accounts functions while studying towards a Certificate IV in Credit Management with the Australian Institute of Credit Management (AICM).
Employed by Maxima’s Group Training Organisation and hosted by TORO Australia in Adelaide, this traineeship is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in credit, finance, or commercial operations. Full training and support will be provided throughout the traineeship.
You will learn how to support the credit team, manage customer accounts, assist with credit applications, and develop professional communication skills with internal stakeholders and customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day credit management and accounts receivable tasks
- Support the assessment and processing of customer credit applications
- Maintain accurate customer account records and data entry
- Assist with invoicing, statements, and account reconciliations
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding account enquiries
- Support collections processes in line with company policies
- Learn and apply credit legislation, policies, and procedures
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve account queries
- Maintain attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism
About You
We are looking for a reliable, detail-focused learner who is keen to develop a career in credit management. No prior experience is required, but you will be well suited to this traineeship if you have:
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to learn and follow structured processes
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office experience beneficial)
- A professional approach and positive attitude
- A genuine interest in finance, credit, or business operations
Any previous experience in administration, customer service, or accounts is an advantage but not essential. Recent school leavers are encouraged to apply.
