The Role:
Maxima, and our Host employer, Mount Barker District Council, are looking for a motivated individual to undertake a Business Traineeship in their Customer Service team.
Throughout this 18-month fulltime traineeship you will receive on-the-job training and support by working alongside experienced supervisors and study online towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business.
Duties Include:
- Respond to all phone calls received in the call centre under supervision from Customer Service staff
- Receipt all monies received by Customer Service and assist with end of day balancing of tills and preparing the daily bank deposit
- Contribute to the preparation of Section 7 Statements as required
- Assist with customer enquiries at the front counter
- Assist customers with registration of animals via the State Government DACO (Dogs and Cats on Line) system both at the front counter and over the phone
- Contribute to a cohesive, supportive and effective Customer Service Team
- Assist with other duties as directed by the Customer Service Team Leader

Role Requirement:
- Driver’s licence and access to reliable vehicle
- Hold a current National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Previous customer service experience (advantageous)
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Suite, Outlook (or similar)
- Follow and demonstrate the Council’s organisational values
- Willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen
