Host Employer:
Our Host employer has been providing superb quality and friendly specialist periodontal treatment to their patients since 2011. They are looking for a trainee who is reliable and a compassionate individual to join their modern, friendly specialist practice. The position is across two clinic locations, Morphett Vale & Torrensville, Monday-Friday approximately 35 hours per week.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. You will work closely with the Dental Specialist and Oral Health Therapist to ensure a smooth, efficient, and comfortable experience for every patient.
About the role:
Under a 12-month traineeship arrangement, you will work with the Host employer while also completing a Certificate III in Dental Assisting. This is an entry-level traineeship, designed for someone to start their career journey and gain their qualification through on-the-job learning. If you already hold this qualification, or a higher-level qualification in this area, this role may not be suitable as it is intended for someone looking to build their foundational skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside assistance across a range of dental procedures
- Maintain high standards of infection control and sterilisation
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms
- Manage patient records using Dental4Websoftware
- Assist with front desk duties, including bookings and patient enquiries
What we are looking for:
- Good communication skills
- Well-presented and reliable
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Current and up-to-date vaccinations (or willing to obtain)
- Hepatitis B & C
- Varicella
- MMR
- Pertussis
- Valid Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Able to commit to evening study classes at Gillies Plains Tafe Campus
