Host Employer:
Our Host Employer is a Local Government Council located in the Adelaide Hills. They are seeking a motivated individual to commence in Spring 2026, working in their Environment and Natural Assets team. Under a traineeship opportunity you will study a Certificate III in Arboriculture, while working alongside an experienced team.
If you enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in outdoor spaces, have a passion for Biodiversity, Arboriculture & Horticulture, this could be the role for you.
About the Role:
- Tree revegetation
- Pruning, trimming and hedging
- Planting and mulching
- Vegetation maintenance of paths, watercourses and bio retention basins
- Opportunity to work in local Bushland environments
- 9-day fortnight with full PPE provided
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong reliability and work ethic
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Willingness to work outdoors in all conditions
- Local to the Adelaide Hills Region
- Able to commit to a 3-year traineeship
- Holder of current drivers’ licence and reliable transport
