Host Employer:
Our Host Employer is a Local Government Council located in Murray Bridge. They are seeking a motivated individual to commence in Spring 2026, working across their Council Region and Community in their parks, reserves, gardens and other outdoor areas. Under a traineeship opportunity you will study a nationally recognised qualification, either Certificate III in Arboriculture or Certificate III in Horticulture, while working alongside an experienced team.
If you enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in outdoor spaces, have a passion for Arboriculture & Horticulture, this could be the role for you.
About the Role:
- Tree revegetation
- Pruning, trimming and hedging
- Planting and mulching
- Vegetation maintenance of paths, watercourses
- Opportunity to work in local Bushland environments
- 9-day fortnight with full PPE provided
- Industry relevant tickets provided (white card, working at heights, truck licence, chainsaw etc.)
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong reliability and work ethic
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Willingness to work outdoors in all conditions
- Local to the Region (preferred but not essential)
- Able to commit to a 3-year traineeship
- Holder of current drivers’ licence and reliable transport (required)

The traineeship wage range for this position is between $14.52 and $20.43 per hour. The applicable hourly rate is determined on your highest level of schooling completed and when this was achieved.
