Maxima have been engaged to find Facilities Support officers for our client based in Adelaides Southern Suburbs.
Our client is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Caretaking & Facilities Support Officer to support the day-to-day operations onsite for them. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and works well in a fast-paced team environment.
The Caretaking team plays a vital role in ensuring work spaces are functional, safe, and ready for teaching, events, and daily operations. You will be a key customer-facing team member, using initiative and judgement to meet service standards while supporting staff and clientele across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and pack-down of onsite events, including temporary infrastructure
- Relocate furniture and equipment for staff and departments
- Collect and transport full wheelie waste bins
- Deliver consumables and operational items across sites
- Transport items between multiple sites when required
- Set up teaching rooms, operable walls, function spaces, and event equipment
- Undertake minor handy service and maintenance-related tasks
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and security teams during events and operational activities
- Respond to customer requests promptly and professionally
- Ensure service standards are consistently achieved
- Escalate maintenance or facilities-related issues for further action
About You

- Physical capability to undertake manual handling and movement of equipment/furniture
- Experience in facilities, caretaking, maintenance, logistics, or a similar environment is desirable
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to work across multiple locations if required
