Maxima are seeking 3 experienced Gardeners who are either Cert 3 qualified or have 4 years Parks and Gardens experience for local Council positions based in Yeppoon.
These roles will see you carrying out horticultural and arboriculture tasks in the planning, development and maintenance of parks, associated facilities and other areas with the region.
These casual positions are offering $43.04 per hour + super.
Key Duties:
- Ensure allocated areas are maintained to a high horticultural and arboriculture standard.
- Carry out general gardening and maintenance tasks.
- Update and maintain weekly schedules for the specific allocated areas.
- Provide regular maintenance and servicing of all relevant equipment.
- Carry out plant propagation as required.
- Carry out horticultural and arboriculture projects as required.
- Control weeds, pests and diseases including the application of pesticides within the scope of training and knowledge.
- Conduct visual inspections of park facilities including playgrounds and report accordingly.
- May be required to supervise and/ or assist lower classified officers.
Successful Profile:
- Current C class drivers license
- White Card
- Cert III in Horticulture with experience OR minimum 4 years experience
- ACDC license or willing to obtain
- Ability to acquire proximity to Traffic Awareness Part 1 and 2 online
