Preferred Requirements:

  • Oversee and guide the Major Projects team on cultural heritage agreements and legislation
  • Coordinate Aboriginal heritage approvals (including s18s and CHMPs) and ensure project-wide heritage compliance
  • Lead engagement with Traditional Owners, heritage groups, and regulators to manage sensitive heritage issues
  • Establish new heritage policies, manage heritage data, and oversee the preservation and interpretation of heritage within project operations
  • Develop “lessons learned” and quality registers to improve stakeholder management and best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a heritage approvals landscape
  • Working knowledge of WA Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title legislation, along with state heritage approval processes
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate on sensitive issues
