About the Role:
This is not your average gardening job. You’ll be part of council teams responsible for maintaining parks, reserves, streetscapes, and community spaces — work that is seen and used every day.
Expect a mix of horticulture and irrigation duties, keeping outdoor spaces functional, safe, and looking their best.
Key Responsibilities:
- General parks and garden maintenance
- Mowing, edging, pruning and brush cutting
- Planting, mulching and weed control
- Operating horticultural equipment and machinery
- Verge, reserve and open space maintenance
- Working within a team to maintain council landscapes and public spaces
To Be Successful:
- Previous horticulture, landscaping or parks maintenance experience
- Certificate III in Horticulture highly regarded
- White Card (Essential)
- MR/HR Truck Licence highly regarded
- Chainsaw ticket, chemical accreditation or machinery tickets advantageous
- Strong understanding of WHS and safe work practices
- Reliable attitude with the ability to work well within a team
