About the Role:
This is not your average gardening job. You’ll be part of council teams responsible for maintaining parks, reserves, streetscapes, and community spaces — work that is seen and used every day.
Expect a mix of horticulture and irrigation duties, keeping outdoor spaces functional, safe, and looking their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General parks and garden maintenance
  • Mowing, edging, pruning and brush cutting
  • Planting, mulching and weed control
  • Operating horticultural equipment and machinery
  • Verge, reserve and open space maintenance
  • Working within a team to maintain council landscapes and public spaces

To Be Successful:

  • Previous horticulture, landscaping or parks maintenance experience
  • Certificate III in Horticulture highly regarded
  • White Card (Essential)
  • MR/HR Truck Licence highly regarded
  • Chainsaw ticket, chemical accreditation or machinery tickets advantageous
  • Strong understanding of WHS and safe work practices
  • Reliable attitude with the ability to work well within a team
