HR Business Partner

Maxima’s Recruitment Services are seeking a HR Business Partner for an assignment within Local Council. In this role you will provide expert advice, support, and guidance on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring best practice and compliance with employment legislation and Council policies.
 
Working Monday to Friday you will be based in Tewantin with a casual hourly pay of $58.76 + super
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders to provide expert, evidence‑based People and Culture advice to support operational performance, workforce outcomes and alignment to Council priorities
  • Lead the management of complex ER/IR matters including investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes, ensuring fair, consistent and compliant outcomes
  • Coach and support leaders in the practical application of people management (performance, conduct, safety, recruitment), reinforcing capability frameworks, policies and other organisational requirements
  • Support and enable the delivery of organisational change initiatives at the directorate/branch level, embedding change approaches and tools
  • Provide expert interpretation of legislation, awards, agreements and policy, ensuring consistent application and reducing organisational risk
  • Manage establishment changes, job design and position evaluation processes, ensuring alignment with organisational structure and remuneration frameworks

About You:

  • Degree qualification in Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Business, Management, Organisational Development, or a related discipline
  • Current C class drivers license
  • Demonstrated experience delivering contemporary, end‑to‑end HR practices across the employee lifecycle in a complex organisation, with strong knowledge of IR/ER frameworks and legislation
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and coaching skills with a strong focus on providing quality customer service, managing customer relationships, and building the profile of HR across the organisation
  • Proven ability to analyse complex people issues, interpret policy and legislation, and develop practical, risk‑based solutions that influence business outcomes
