Information Management Business Traineeship

The Role:

Maxima, and the City of Burnside, are looking for a motivated individual to undertake a Business Traineeship within the People and Innovation team.

Throughout this 18-month, fulltime opportunity you will receive training and gain experience in records management practices, ensuring the efficient and secure management of critical documents and information

You will also receive paid training and continuous mentoring towards gaining a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business.

Duties Include:

  • Assist in organising and maintaining physical and digital records
  • Perform data entry tasks to update records management databases
  • Conduct quality control checks on records to identify and rectify discrepancies
  • Arrange retrieval of internal and external corporate records
  • Maintain the registers and retrieval systems for corporate records and essential documents
  • Assist with the preparation of agendas and taking minutes for team meetings

  • Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Have effective organisational and time management skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn
  • Takes initiative and strong problem-solving skills
  • Works effectively as part of a team and under limited supervision
  • Maintain confidentiality with relevant information

Role Requirements:

  • Driver’s licence and access to reliable vehicle 
  • Hold a current National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Hands on experience with technology, including Microsoft Office
