Integrity & Information Officer (Statutory Laws)

Maxima’s valued client is seeking an experienced Information Officer to join them on a temporary basis.
Paying $42.96/hour (casual) + Super, this role is working Monday – Friday.
This role is for a local government in Logan area.
Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
  

  • Case Management
  • Liaising and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Exercise delegated decision making power
  • Interpret and apply the relevant legislation
  • Prepare a variety of correspondence including decision notices
  • Communicate with and provide general advice and assistance to stakeholders

  
ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you can demonstrate that you have the experience and ability to:

Experience in assessing Right to Information, Information Privacy and Evidence Act applications, including the ability to interpret and apply the legislation relevant to a request.
Effectively communicate (verbally and in writing), consult and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
Research and analyse issues, write concise correspondence and provide independent advice on a range of release of information issues.
Maintain accurate and up to date documentation, records and files in accordance with processes and procedures.
Maintain high levels of confidentiality in a sensitive and complex environment.
Willingness to follow mandated procedures and processes.
Self-motivation, proactive approach and commitment to achieving high standards with a desire for continuous improvement.
