The Role:
  
Location: Surrey Downs SA
Duration: 36-month full time Traineeship
  
As an Irrigation Technician Trainee, you will support the installation, servicing and maintenance of irrigations systems within the local council area.
  
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
  

  • Install, maintain and audit pressurised irrigation systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system faults
  • Read and interpret irrigation plans
  • Implement efficient irrigation schedules
  • Install and terminate low voltage wiring systems

To be successful in this Traineeship, you’ll need to:
  

  • Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools
  • Be committed, reliable and hardworking
  • Manage and prioritise time when working under pressure
  • Work effectively in a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Have a can-do attitude, displaying initiative on the job

  
Role Requirements:
  

  • Driver’s Licence and own access to a reliable vehicle
  • Physically fit and healthy due to undertake manual labour work
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
  • Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar (desirable)
