Lever & Associates is a proudly family-owned South Australian company that has been developing fragrances, flavours and botanical extracts since 1957. Their products are supplied to customers throughout Australia and internationally, and are used in products ranging from fine fragrances and cosmetics to foods, beverages and personal care products.

We are offering an enthusiastic and motivated person the opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills through a two-year traineeship while working alongside the experienced laboratory team.

No previous laboratory experience is required—we are looking for the right person with the right attitude.

About the role:

  • Prepare fragrance and flavour compounds from detailed formulations
  • Register, label and maintain laboratory samples
  • Prepare customer samples for evaluation and dispatch
  • Assist with quality control sampling and testing
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records
  • Help maintain a clean, organised and professional laboratory

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Curious and eager to learn new skills
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with numbers and measurements
  • Confident using computers, including Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable working in a fragrance and flavour laboratory where a wide variety of aromatic raw materials are handled as part of normal laboratory work
  • Able to commit to a two-year traineeship
  • Holder of a current driver’s licence, or has reliable transport to and from work
