Maxima has a large number of vacancies for motivated Labourers, who want to develop their skills, gain valuable industry experience and build a long-term career.
Working through Maxima, you will initially commence on a casual basis, generally for a maximum period of up to 6 months, with the opportunity to transition to a position directly with council.
With Council depots located at Boonah, Beaudesert and Canungra, every effort will be made to place you at a depot that is as close to home as possible.
About the Roles
Opportunities are available across Civil Works and Parks & Gardens Maintenance, giving you the opportunity to develop practical skills while working as part of a professional Council team.
Working a 76-hour fortnight (Over 9 days) with the possibility of overtime.
Duties include:
- Road signs and road furniture maintenance
- Cold mix bitumen pothole patching
- Operating and assisting with plant and equipment
- Traffic control and work zone activities
- Supporting experienced operators and tradespeople
About You

You care about the environment in which you live and are keen to help maintain and improve local facilities.
Minimum Skills and Experience
To be successful in attaining a role, you will need to have:
- An MR Truck Licence (or higher)
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including Drug and Alcohol screening
- Fitness level to undertake outdoor labouring duties
- A willingness to learn and grow as part of a team
- A commitment to working safely
